Lila Starless est une artiste aux multiples talents car sur ce Live Session 2019, armée de son seul synthétiseur, elle compose en improvisation totale. Malgré cette configuration très minimaliste, son dungeon synth médiéval est d'une grande diversité : il repose en bonne partie sur l'utilisation des cuivres avec quelques incursions dans des ambiances magiques voire carrément lugubres — la piste finale me rappelait même Lamentum ! Les émotions sont livrées telles qu'elles, palpables. Puissant !

Les fantômes sont intangibles : moins denses que l'air, il est impossible de les toucher et c'est tout juste si nous sommes en mesure de les voir. Si on garde ça en tête, Spectral Castle accomplit un exploit dans Majestic Spectral Castles : le dungeon synth fait sentir la grandeur architecturale, voire l'opulence, d'un château qui n'existe plus. Le registre émotionnel est différent, moins mélancolique et plus noble grâce aux cuivres tout en restant mesuré. La visite est brève mais elle marque.
